Job Description

The Technical Project Manager will be responsible for planning, executing, and finalizing projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This role requires a combination of project management expertise and technical acumen to ensure that all project objectives are met, and that our high standards of quality and customer satisfaction are maintained.

Responsibilities

Project Planning and Execution

  • Define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
  • Develop full-scale project plans and associated communications documents.
  • Estimate resources and participants needed to achieve project goals.
  • Draft and submit budget proposals and recommend subsequent budget changes where necessary.

Team Management

  • Lead, coach, and motivate project team members and contractors, influencing them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.
  • Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel.
  • Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team.

Technical Acumen

  • Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and stakeholders.
  • Communicate project progress, issues, and risks to senior management and stakeholders in a clear and timely manner.
  • Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations.

Quality Assurance

  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Conduct project post-mortems and create recommendations for future improvement.
  • Develop best practices and tools for project execution and management.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree or relevant certifications (PMP, Agile, Scrum) is a plus.
  • More than 10 years of experience in project management within the fintech or financial services industry.
  • Strong technical background, with understanding or hands-on experience in software development and web technologies.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with project management software tools (e.g., JIRA, MS Project, Trello).
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking abilities.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.

Qualifications
  • Experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
  • Knowledge of financial services regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Familiarity with cloud computing, cybersecurity, and blockchain technologies.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
